Who we are

These terms cover oopsthatcost.com and the Oops, That Cost channels, run by Jilla Ventures ("we", "us"). By using them you agree to these terms.

Entertainment, not financial advice

Our videos and pages are for entertainment and general education only. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and they do not recommend any product, bank, app or investment. For decisions about your money, talk to a qualified, licensed professional.

Fiction and AI

Our characters, their stories and the amounts in them are fictional. Any resemblance to real people is unintended. Our videos and images are made with the help of AI tools, and we label them as AI-generated on every platform. Where we show a real statistic, we name its source.

Our content

The characters, videos, images, logos and text are ours. You may share links to our posts and use our brand kit to write about us. Please do not re-upload, edit or sell our videos or use our characters without written permission.

Your comments and submissions

If you comment on our posts or send us a story idea, you confirm it is yours to share and does not break any law or anyone's rights. You give us a free, worldwide licence to read, reply to and use it to inspire future stories. We turn ideas into fictional stories and never publish your name or personal details without asking.

Be kind

We may hide or remove comments that are abusive, spam, scams or misleading financial promotions.

YouTube and other platforms

Our videos are published on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X. When you watch, comment on or otherwise use our content on YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. We use YouTube API Services to publish our own videos and manage comments on our own channel; Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy, and our own handling is described in our Privacy Policy. Each other platform's own terms also apply when you use it.

No warranties

We work hard to keep things accurate, but our content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using or relying on our content, including financial decisions you make. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Jilla Ventures is registered. Disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you a right to use your local courts.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do.
